Testimonials
Dave Romeo is a proven personal results coach and a dynamic national presenter in the areas of sales, leadership, personal growth, customer satisfaction, and goal setting.

Dear Dave,
I wanted to update you on the progress of my promotion opportunity and salary negotiation. The position was moved under another manager after we spoke and I had to re-interview an additional time. I was confirmed as the candidate of choice.
The initial offer was a 5% increase (as you said it likely would be). The recruiter framed it as being a very generous offer since the typical offer is 3%. With your help and preparation, I was ready and managed to counter effectively and negotiate a 25% increase. Taking the finalized offer from 74K to 92K. The offer had to go through several levels of approval and was finalized this past Monday. I start this coming Monday in the new role and at the new rate.
Thank you for your teaching me and preparing me for the negotiation process, it was truly invaluable. Without it I would have been unprepared and would have likely taken the 5%.
Your service was the best investment in my career. I cannot thank you enough!

I want to thank you for providing an informative and enlightening seminar on Customer Service. Your people skills are outstanding and your passion matches your skill set. I felt very comfortable in this session because of your ability to make everyone feel like they were sitting around the kitchen table sharing their experiences. Thank you.
So much you brought up in the seminar is common sense and attention to detail. You had some good examples and quotes to trigger the correct response to certain situations.
When I called you yesterday I was looking for a resource to support our initiative in better customer service. And you confirmed it today in person.

I have had the privilege of working with you for the past 21 years – both as a colleague within the staffing industry and for the past 12 years, as a professional coach and training resource. You have been a wonderful mentor and role model for me – both personally and professionally and I cherish our friendship.
When I started Talent Tap, there were many challenges to tackle and I knew that if you helped coach me throughout the start-up process, I couldn’t’ go wrong! The results I have been able to achieve these past two years have exceeded my expectations! This week, I’ve hired my second employee and Talent Tap’s revenues and profitability continue to grow by double digits! I have especially enjoyed attending your Sales Academy during the last four weeks and feel very prepared to transition into a more focused new business development role for the company. The techniques and tools you’ve taught me have been invaluable and I highly recommend your services to any individual or business that’s looking for focused support to help them achieve their goals!
Warm Regards,

My parents set great examples and taught me well, but believe me when I tell you that many of the daily tools I use, I learned from or had reinforced by you and the great folks who attend your seminars. I am very grateful for this as well as the friendships I have made.

Thank you so much for hosting a seminar topic (Survive and Thrive II: How to Create Automatic Money Machines) like the one yesterday. I am so excited to be able to build my online business in order to increase my sales within the store. I was a little distracted yesterday at lunch by Randy's hilarious stories and just his overall attitude. I realized after I left that I did not receive a card nor any way to get into contact with him. It was a pleasure eating lunch with Randy, you and your wife. Please tell Kim thank you so much for her comment in the seminar and then again before lunch that she feels I could be your next millionaire success story. That means a lot coming from someone who has met all of your clients over the years and saw that in me also. While talking with Jess (my girlfriend and total support system) I made the comment that I would be honored if you would write an introduction in one of my books someday... she reminded me that I need to start on then! I thought about that and after listening to your explanation of just a hour set aside per day would give me 7 hours a week or 365 hours a year to write one, I figure I will be ready to start putting one together in January of 2014. Time allocation is an important thing I do need to learn. I am starting to make the newsletter a more monthly thing for my email lists and plan to take each article I write and apply it to the book. So in theory, I will have at least twelve chapters by January of 2014. I also plan to make it a point to write a Catfish How-to-Book for the Susquehanna as well as one book on each of the 3 major lakes in York County. I know you do not fish anymore but I was wondering if you could make an exception if it was for "business mentoring session." (Every time someone draws a card at the end of the seminar I always think "Man, I hope if it’s me, he will schedule an early appointment. That way, we can get on a good top water bite."). I am convinced I may never be in the Guinness Records for fishing, but striving to build a reputation as a successful tournament angler will be just fine in my book.

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed yesterday’s seminar, Mastering Your Self-Esteem and Your Destiny. I was telling my wife about it once I got home and in doing so, it reinforced something I knew when I left: What I learn from you, I do my best to apply in my professional life, but yesterday’s seminar went beyond that, as I’m sure they all do. My biggest takeaway was simply that I need to inspect how I treat everyone I come in contact with on a daily basis – not just professional contacts.
I recall you saying that your goal is to do as much good as you possibly can for as many people as you can possibly touch. Well, you definitely do that, Dave. But it reaches beyond just those you personally meet. What you instill in your class participants perpetuates itself through the relationships they have. But you already know that!
There’s no telling how many people’s lives have been and will be positively impacted by Dave Romeo, whether they know that name or not.
I’m paying special attention to my relationships. I want to be sure I’m building people up, not tearing down, I’m humble and I’m not so focused on everything negative going on in our world that I can’t see the good
Have a great weekend Dave.
Your brother in Christ,

I felt compelled to write you. As you know, we’ve had motivational speakers at our company in the past, but never felt that they had any significant impact on our business. After watching your Overcoming Price Objections DVD, we decided to have you come in and present your Sales Academy program to our entire sales force. I was a little bit hesitant about spending this much money on an outside speaker, knowing how resistant our sales force has been to listening to people unfamiliar with our business, but I could see how you won them over by taking the time to learn our terminology, our suppliers, and our selling style.
By customizing your program to our industry and company, you reached even our 20 and 30-year veterans. I was thrilled to learn that our most successful sales person was the first to sign up for your coaching program.
I could see how subtle phrasings like asking “if I…, would you…,” questions and asking prospects if we could “earn the right” to do business with them, could have such a major impact on our sales results. These techniques even helped me in my ability to negotiate deals in acquiring other companies.
I saw our experienced sales people put what they learned in your training program into practice after the first couple of sessions, resulting in actual sales and opening doors we have not been able to get through for years.
Thank you for the work you’ve done with our sales force. We look forward to having you in next to help our managers prepare for the increased sales volume and deliver legendary customer service by going through your Leadership Academy.

I signed up for the Sales Academy after noticing a huge drop in my sales. Even though I’ve been in my industry for 26 years, I still wanted to find out how to regain my focus. I had never taken any sales classes before. I looked into other training and found the price to be out of the ballpark. When I asked you how much you charged, I instantly decided to give you a try—especially because I knew you specialized in sales closing techniques.
By the third week, I employed several of the techniques I learned from the Sales Academy and the Sales Mastery audio program.
- I talked a customer out of buying a more expensive product than she needed and earned her trust.
- I spent time building iron-clad credibility with another prospect.
- I used the story that never changes to express my passion for my business.
- I made sure I asked for the order.
As a result, I closed $19,000 in business with three customers in one day!
Thank you, Dave for delivering on your promise.
Sincerely,

"To say Dave Romeo is an over-achiever would be an understatement. He is a top performer as a husband, leader, coach, salesperson, friend, church board member, and lastly, a Guinness world record holder for bass fishing. On any given day, Dave will have accomplished and documented 15 goals before I finish pouring milk on my cereal at breakfast! He’s amazing. I owe my success in my sales career to him and also my passion to strive to live a meaningful life full of fun and integrity in everything I do. He challenges me with Socratic methodology and constantly asks, “Can you do it better?” He stresses Socrates approach to life…an unexamined life is not worth living. Constant, daily improvement is the only way to approach success. Money is not a measure of his success; rather the intrinsic reward is helping others and creating a growing circle of friends and clients. This is the definition of success per Dave Romeo. If a good pay check goes along with it, then so be it."
Sincerely,

I decided that I wanted to make this year the best year that Handyman Matters has ever had. I knew from the start that I would need to engage in coaching in order to make that happen.
I was apprehensive at first, knowing that I would need to disclose some uncomfortable history of the business, but you made it super-easy for me to be honest about the past and even pointed out that I was doing better than I realized. I get so much useful information from each session and find myself anxiously awaiting the next.
In four months, we are already up more than 25% in sales over last year and hoping to finish the year with a 30% increase.
Thank you so much for believing in me and always making me feel so important.
With tremendous gratitude,

Thank you for yesterday’s "Survive and Thrive II: How to Create Automatic Money Machines" Seminar. It was by far my favorite out of my 21 seminars to date. I appreciated the feedback from the attendees and I gleaned from all of their wisdom; of course including yours! I am truly blessed to be a part of such a well-respected group of people whose agenda is to DO BUSINESS WELL all while learning LIFE LESSONS to apply in everyday life! Dave, THANK YOU for continuing to enhance my personal and professional life! Thank you for helping this wandering sojourner calculate my next steps!
I APPRECIATE YOU Dave Romeo!

During the Executing Your Great Ideas Mega Mixer seminar, you had the class write down or communicate a vision for a great idea, then express 5 potential roadblocks to what is or could be preventing us from achieving that goal.
I was able to identify that it was my partner in my current business venture who was holding me back from implementing my entire vision for reaching my business goals. I realized that I had unrealistic expectations for the existing partnership and created a second partnership with another individual who could help me with the additional services that I wanted to offer my clients.
In doing so, I have improved the quality of my existing partnership, created new opportunities with my new partnership, have the potential to merge the partnerships together in the future, and I am happier and more professionally satisfied than I have ever been.
Because of the "ah-ha" moment that I had at your seminar, I am finally performing at the level and doing all the things that I have always wanted to do.

When I was putting my resume back together - I reviewed all of the courses that I took from you. I appreciate how you help your clients to be organized with your notes - since I have kept everything in my white binder! I have really taken some great courses with you which have really helped me with my personal/business development. Thank you for providing unique and applicable training opportunities!

I wanted to thank you for encouraging me to take the spring, 2017 Sales Academy class. I know I hesitated many times, but it was definitely worth my investment. I realize now that there will never be a perfect time to take it, so I’m so glad I took it when I did, even though I’ll be getting married in less than two months.
You did such a great job highlighting the clues that success leaves. I pulled so many great ideas from the Sales Academy including the story that never changes and using “if I… would you…” questions when speaking with prospects.
The Sales Academy highlighted behaviors I have displayed at times which I needed to improve, but maybe did not realize. I can’t believe how you simplified what I need to say to prospects in order to get to them to see me. You’ve made my sales job so much easier.
I look forward to moving ahead in my sales efforts with greater intention and purpose. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I got your message and just wanted you to know I really enjoyed the seminar. I like the stories and found it very engaging because of my ability to relate to the stories. I also liked the networking and thought it was very neat to see professionals from different fields interacting around the same topic. I am looking forward to the next seminar.
Thanks so much,

I rarely write in response to editorial things. We're usually too busy generating editorial material here to write about the work of others.
But your last issue of B2B was superb, and the article you wrote -- "Updated: How to Network" was really well done. I'm also very glad that you came to find Dave Romeo in your wanderings, quoted on pages 11 + 18. I've been to several of Dave's seminars and have kept in touch with him through the years. I'm very glad, as a dad who hired both of his kids, that I can offer your article to them as the definitive "Networking" piece (and, I'll add: it reminds me that I want them to now attend some of the Dave Romeo training sessions that were so beneficial to me several years ago). Thanks, Ted!

I wanted to let you know that I've been thinking about something I said to you yesterday. When I told you "I'm only taking your class because my boss signed me up for it," I apologize. After I had the chance to think back on it, I honestly did not mean it to sound that way. While I admit, it is partially true, I want you to know that your class has been my #1 motivation to get ahead and commit to my goals.
Before we met, I expected that you would hit a home run with the Sales Academy, but after the very first class, I feel that you’ve hit a grand slam! I'm so grateful to have access to your knowledge and I truly appreciate my company’s willingness to provide me with this wonderful resource. My inexperience is the only thing that seems to be holding me back at this point but I want you to know, any fear I might have about selling goes away after your classes. And I mean that with all my heart.
Thank you for all that you've done for me up to this point, and thank you for reaching out to me when I needed someone. You have a special place in my heart and I want to thank you for bringing me back to God.
Yours truly,

My name is Joe Benton and I work for BAPS Auto Paints & Supply in York, Pennsylvania. I have worked for BAPS for 23 years as an Account Manager selling automotive and industrial paint and other related supplies to auto body shops and industrial manufacturers.
I first met Dave Romeo in October 2013 when my wife Veronica asked me if I would mind going to Dave’s Sales Academy training class. I told her I would do the class. Over my years of working with BAPS I attended many sales training classes that focused on our industry and learned a lot, so I wondered how Dave’s training would benefit me.
After the class started and I began listening to Dave talk about his values, I realized at that point that he was a person who cared about the customer. To me, that is the most important part of doing business. Without the customer you have nothing. Dave’s way of teaching is so easy to understand and practical and the information he provided in his class was some of the best I ever received. A statement was made during one of Dave’s classes about how not to act as an employee, which caught my attention. I said to myself I do not want to act like that. This was a game changer for me. Dave’s classes would always start and end on time. During the classes Dave would offer great educational books and audio at a great price. His program was laid out so I could easily go back to study and find points he provided in the book.
I am forever grateful for what I have learned from Dave and I will continue to take his classes and coaching for as long as I can. If you want an educator who you know cares about you and will take you as far as you want to go, then Dave is the guy for the job. Take the time to attend one of his classes and you will understand why I feel the way I do. Dave will be a blessing in your life.
Sincerely,

“I commissioned Dave Romeo’s coaching services after my job was eliminated. Dave’s expertise in HR and business was hugely valuable to me. With Dave’s coaching, I was prepared for my job interviews with key questions I never would have asked. Those questions helped me move away from jobs I believe would have been a bad fit for me had I accepted the positions. When I found the perfect opportunity, I accepted it with the confidence that I had asked the right questions and the culture was a good fit for me.
I highly recommend Dave’s coaching services for career, professional development, and business growth. I am confident you will see a large return on your investment. I did.”
Thank you, Dave.

I highly recommend the Sales Academy to any businessperson. I am NOT a salesperson, but I completed left the Sales Academy with SEVEN solid tools that have improved my business! Your easy-to-follow, hands-on approach is appropriate for the savviest of salespeople and those of us who are not.
I am confident in saying attendees will earn back the Sales Academy investment and much more when they attend Dave Romeo's Sales Academy.
Thank you for everything!

Often as I am driving down the road, I take that time to talk with God to thank Him for the blessings in my life, ask Him to give me guidance in the ways He wants me to go, and ask Him to reveal the areas where I can be a better man. Each week, as I head home Thursday afternoons, I thank Him for allowing the Romeos to come into my life! I thank Him for allowing you to provide me with guidance, support, motivation, and friendship. Without those things, I know I would probably continue to look back instead of focusing forward! Thank you, Dave for being a blessing in my life!

When I signed up for the Sales Academy program, I was concerned about my sluggish sales. I never took a professional sales training program before so I wasn’t sure how effective the results would be.
Because I was at my lowest point in sales, I figured I didn’t have anything to lose so I signed up for the Sales Academy. I also watched your Overcoming Price Objections DVD.
What happened next was unbelievable. After the third week, I received a phone call from a prospect that I met 3 years earlier at a business expo. Although he never ordered from me before, he gave me an order for approximately $50,000.00 per year. When he asked me if I could do any better on the price, I followed your instructions and held firm. In the past, I would of probably would have cut my price. When I told him that it was non-negotiable, he said that would be OK.
Over the next 5 years, that lesson will translate into $250,000.00 in new sales. I am so glad that I decided to take the Sales Academy program.
Thanks for all your help.
Sincerely,

Thank you for a great learning experience today. I listened to the Goal Setting Mastery CD's on the way home and I liked what I heard so far. I also read a few chapters of Designing Your Destiny. I was able to download a blank goal sheet from your website. Could you please email some of your goal sheets from past years? On the CD, it said you would do that. I enjoyed the seminar a lot. I look forward to our coaching session and to other seminars with you. Tell Veronica that I said thanks for recommending you.

I met Dave Romeo and Harrisburg Area Regional Chamber mixer a little over a year ago. He had a chance to speak to me regarding a few of his services. Being at a Chamber mixer, I had an initial hesitation and originally shrugged him off as just another businessman trying to land a deal. When he followed up within the next few days with a hand written thank-you card and a warm telephone greeting, I started to realize that this guy is different than the other business coaches.
I had a second chance to speak with him at another mixer and politely thanked him for the hand-written card and explained that it’s nice to see someone still doing that. Dave then invited me to one of his upcoming sales seminars. I agreed to give him the opportunity to win my business—a decision that have not regretted at all.
When Dave suggested I take the Sales Academy I was little hesitant of the commitment, but now that I have completed Sales Academy, I know the skills that I learned from Dave Romeo will help me through my entire business career. One of the most important things I learned was how to make sure my message was clear enough for my prospects to understand.
I highly recommend Dave to any business professionals who have goals of becoming better at what they do in business and in life. Thank You Dave!
Respectfully,

I took Dave Romeo's Sales Academy in the fall of 2012. I found the training to be an excellent refinement to my existing sales knowledge in an up-close and personal setting.
With the techniques and knowledge that I gained by taking the Sales Academy, I moved into my dream job five months after I graduated. I am also pleased to say that in March of 2014, I landed my first (ever) Multi-Million Dollar international account. I accomplished this by committing to my commitments, being super-responsive, always starting with the closest thing to the money, and using many of the other valuable techniques that you will learn in the Sales Academy.
I have no doubt that if you use these techniques, you too will find true success.
Thanks Dave!

I think it is great that you touch so many lives and I love how well you and Kim make an impact together. I really like when the both of you are at the seminars together.
I really see your seminars attendees as season ticket holders. The seminars are places where people meet each other and make a connection–whether you see each other twice a year or 10 times. It’s always great going to a seminar and also reconnecting with the people you meet. I guess when you have people striving for the same goal and wanting to be successful you really have a gold mine on your hands.
Also I received an awesome letter from your client, Melynda. It was a handwritten letter stating how you and she have been talking. She stated how you have been helping her along and that my personal story has been an inspiration to her. I thought it was really touching to receive a thoughtful, handwritten letter! That is so rare these days. It’s really a shame that they are no longer going to teach cursive writing in many schools. That is going to become a lost art.
Thanks for the encouragement, Dave.

I just want to congratulate you for your hard work and your success with the seminars. I'm sure your seminars have been of great encouragement to so many people over the years. I know for the seminars I've attended, have been informative, fun, and inspiring. There are a few pointers I have picked up from the seminars I've attended that I use often in my business practices. I am sure that you will be seeing me at some of the upcoming seminars this year, but in the meantime keep up the good work.
I look forward to seeing you soon. Say hello to Kim.
God Bless,

My husband and son took your Sales Academy last fall. Since we just opened our insurance agency, my husband Tony wanted me to take it as well, even though my background has been in the medical field.
This was all very new to me. As an inexperienced salesperson, I felt like fish out of water when I came to the art. However, after employing just a few of the tidbits of wisdom you imparted, I now a sense of direction, accomplishment, and the confidence to move forward in this endeavor. I will remember to always start my day with the closest thing to money. I have even employed the goal setting instructions you taught us in order to lose 4 pounds since the beginning of the class.
What your class contains is extremely valuable and just what I needed. It was definitely worth the money and the time investment. I would recommend the Sales Academy to anyone who is wandering aimlessly through their sales journey.
Sincerely,

When I started out on this journey of starting my company, I thought given my early wins that business would just flow. However, just prior to the Sales Academy I had lost 7 deals in a row. I inherently knew that I needed to reevaluate my sales strategy. I was really down and stressed out. After taking the first class and employing just one simple tactic of "if I, would you" I immediately turned around my sales to the tune of 8,000 dollars from two new customers within the first week.
But the real success is that I now have a complete sales focus that I had previously lacked. This has had the benefit of breathing new life into my business and me personally. The exercises have brought clarity, focus, and a mission to my success.
I am grateful that we were introduced, and look forward to continuing to working with you.
Sincerely,

I want to thank you for all of your help with my recent job search. I never expected to be looking for work at this point in my life. It was truly a scary experience. Even though I’ve known you for a very long time, I must admit I was skeptical about your job coaching advice. It was only after I expressed my concerns with a friend who agreed with your recommendations that I decided to try them. It took me 19 days from the day you coached me until I was offered an incredible new job right in my own backyard—with a company that was not even advertising a position! In fact, the only companies that responded to me were companies I approached using your methods. You don’t know how good it is to be working again. Thanks for your excellent coaching advice and I’ll look forward to sharing my future successes with you.
Sincerely,

I want to thank you for providing an informative and enlightening seminar on Customer Service. Your people skills are outstanding and your passion matches your skill set.

God Bless,

Sincerely,

Sincerely,

I highly recommend the Sales Academy to any businessperson. I am NOT a salesperson, but I completed left the Sales Academy with SEVEN solid tools that have improved my business! Your easy-to-follow, hands-on approach is appropriate for the savviest of salespeople and those of us who are not.
I am confident in saying attendees will earn back the Sales Academy investment and much more when they attend Dave Romeo's Sales Academy.
Thank you for everything!

Sincerely,

Often as I am driving down the road, I take that time to talk with God to thank Him for the blessings in my life, ask Him to give me guidance in the ways He wants me to go, and ask Him to reveal the areas where I can be a better man. Each week, as I head home Thursday afternoons, I thank Him for allowing the Romeos to come into my life! I thank Him for allowing you to provide me with guidance, support, motivation, and friendship. Without those things, I know I would probably continue to look back instead of focusing forward! Thank you, Dave for being a blessing in my life!

Dear Dave,
I wanted to update you on the progress of my promotion opportunity and salary negotiation.

Sincerely,
